A lovely pair of Three Branch Silver Candelabra. Standing at 36.5cm in height these are a substantial and visually magnificent pair of Candelabra. The square bases are stepped and scalloped and this shape is repeated in all the sconces adding a real sense of quality. The shape of these is classic and timeless and so they would suit any décor where you wanted to make a statement. The arms detach to form a pair of elegant candlesticks which can be used / displayed on their own. All six holders have removable sconces along with the candlesticks having their own set which is great as these often go missing over time. The candlesticks themselves are well detailed with fluting up the stems emphasising their shape and design. These truly are a beautiful statement piece in incredible condition.
Assay Office: Sheffield
Maker: C J Vander / Roberts & Belk
Date: 1966
Condition -
These are in fabulous condition. As close to flawless as one could ever wish to find. The hallmarks on the bases have a small amount of rubbing with all other hallmarks being very clear. There are two separate makers marks on these Candelabra. The bases have the Makers Mark for C J Vander and the branches have the Makers Mark for Roberts & Belk. All eight of the removable sconces are also hallmarked for Roberts & Belk. All pieces / parts are hallmarked in Sheffield and have the same date letter for 1966. This is possibly due to a collaboration between the Silversmiths at the time as these Candelabra would have started out as a set and are not a "marriage" as the fit between the pieces is extremely precise.
