An unusual Edwardian Silver Triple Stamp Box shaped as a Trough on four bun feet. This Stamp Box is unusual in that it is profusely decorated all over, except the base, in an Acanthus pattern. Fully hallmarked on one end this is a fantastic piece of collectable silver. This is also a lovely quality silver box to add to a collection or it would make a unique and individual silver gift.

Condition -
This stamp box is in super condition there is one very small dent to the centre of the base - see pictures - with no other damage. The decoration is clear and crisp with no rubbing. The box has a spring close mechanism which opens and closes well and the hinge is good. The hallmarks are rubbed and so are difficult to read but legible. This silver stamp box shows only minimal surface marks and scratches on the base associated with age and minor use and are commensurate with age and light use. Inside is undamaged with some evidence of gilding remaining. The leather insert has been replaced and is a new synthetic equivalent.
