An Edwardian silver vesta of larger than normal size with twin compartments. This vesta is slightly concave on the reverse and is beautifully decorated with Ivy leaves around a central shield shaped unengraved cartouche. Ivy leaves commonly represent enduring love and it is highly likely this lovely silver vesta would have been given to someone special as a symbol of love or a strong friendship on a special occasion. An unusual twin compartment silver vesta in lovely condition.
