A great pair of Art Nouveau silver pepperettes with open fretwork and original blue glass liners. The design of these pieces allow the blue glass liners to be visible and this looks great. The pepperettes have pull off lids allowing for easy re-filling. These have a good weight to them as they are a good gauge of silver. Fully hallmarked to the base section of each piece with partial hallmarks to the lids. A lovely pair that looks great when used but would look equally nice displayed. They come in the original cardboard box as pictured. Assay Office: Birmingham Maker: Marples & Co Date: 1904 Condition: Used excellent. There isn’t any damage at all. I would doubt that these have been used at all and if they have they have been very well looked after. The glass is undamaged with no chips. Hallmarks are clear but the makers marks are a little rubbed but still legible. Dimensions (approx): H: 10.9cm W: 3.8cm (base), 3.5cm (max. main body) Silver weight: 80g |
