A shaped silver vesta with shield shaped cartouche, profusely decorated with a foliate pattern to the front and back with plain sides. This vesta has a double concave shape to the front and back so is raised in the middle from top to bottom. The cartouche is engraved with a period monogram. An unusual shape this is a lovely quality silver vesta to add to a collection. This vesta would also make a perfect silver gift.

Condition -
This vesta is in very good condition with a couple of small dents - see pictures - with no other damage. The decoration is clear and crisp with no rubbing. The vesta closes well - although there isn't a snap - and the hinge is good. The hallmarks are difficult to read but still ok. This silver vesta shows only minimal surface marks and scratches on the sides and cartouche associated with minor use and are commensurate with age and light use.
