A really good quality, heavy gauge Silver Snuff Box. This is rectangular in shape and has canted corners. The box has a really crisp and well defined engine turned decoration all over and has a pattern of leaves around the top and bottom of the box. The box has a sprung hinge and so closes automatically. The box has a gilt wash interior and is marked with import hallmarks. This is a great silver snuff box. Assay Office: London Import Mark Sponsors Mark: Cohen & Charles Date: 1924 Overall weight: 107g Condition - This snuff box is overall in great condition. There are no dints or dents, the hinge works well, the box closes well. The decoration is crisp and unrubbed with generally very few use marks but there are some slightly deeper scratches which due to the engine turned decoration can't be removed. They are only visible on close inspection and from certain angles. Please see pictures as we have taken close ups as best we can. One is on the top towards the left hand corner and there are two which cross on the base towards the bottom right corner. In our opinion these are part of buying a vintage / antique item and do not really detract from the overall appearance of this beautiful box. However this is down to personal opinion as they are there and can't be disguised. Import marks are good and are in the base of the box and partial marks to the inside of the lid.
