An unusual Victorian silver Vinaigrette of shaped narrow rectangular form with foliate scroll engraving to the base and sides surrounding a shaped and unengraved cartouche. The cover is engraved vertically with a view of the Scott Memorial in Edinburgh. Inside is a highly decorated grille, a sponge and a gilded interior. A lovely collectable silver vinaigrette.

Condition -
This vinaigrette is in very good condition with just one very minor small dent to the back in the cartouche. It is fully hallmarked and the hallmarks are clear. The gilding to the base has several dark marks from the sponge. The hinges are all free from damage and work well.
