A Chester Silver Butter Dish with glass insert. This is a great size and a really great item to use or display. It is Oval in shape and has a flat handle at each end, the top and bottom rim are beaded giving it a distinctive look. It has four bun feet on the base and a removable glass insert. A great piece of period Chester Silver.

Condition -
This is in really good used condition with no real damage of any note except for a small dent to one handle - see close up picture. The glass is undamaged with no chips or cracks it just has some dark marks from sliding in and out of the silver frame. This may well clean but it is not damaged. Hallmarks are clear and good.
