An unusual novelty silver box designed as a Gladstone Bag. This has a lovely all over hammered finish. It has a gilt wash inside and is well detailed - even the handle moves. A fantastic piece of novelty Victorian Silver.

Condition -
This box is in good condition with just some denting to the base corners - see pictures - with no other damage. The hammered decoration is still sharp and crisp with no rubbing. The box's interior is exceptionally clean and unmolested. The box closes well and the hinge is good. The hallmarks are on the outside of the inner rim and are clear and good. There is also a silver mark on the outside of the lid which is a sign of quality. This silver box shows only minimal signs of use and age and really is a lovely piece of novelty silver.
