A William IV hallmarked silver vinaigrette designed as a pocket watch. This is an ornate example with engraved decoration to the top and base and embossed leaves and flowers around the edge. The lid opens to reveal an elaborately decorated pierced, gilded grille underneath which is the original sponge. The decoration is really crisp and still sharp with minimal wear. The hallmarks inside the lid and base are clear. By a well established and renowned silversmith of the period this is a really lovely quality Vinaigrette to add to a collection or start a new one.

Condition -
Very good there is no damage or dents to the silver, the engraved decoration is sharp, and the hallmarks are clear. There are minimal signs of wear commensurate with age and minimal use. The hinges are good and fully working but the lid closes with a slight gap - see pictures. Other than the gap this item is in lovely condition.
