A superb quality Victorian solid silver Christening Mug by George Unite. This has a fantastic beaded rim with a fully decorated engine turned body. It has a very elaborate central cartouche with engraved Monogram. The base is plain and angular and the handle is scrolled and shaped giving this mug and overall feeling of opulence. This silver mug is fully hallmarked for George Unite who was an eminent Silversmith of the period and particularly well regarded for producing high quality elaborately decorated or detailed items. This is a lovely high quality Christening Mug in great condition making it a lovely piece of collectable silver. It would also make a perfect traditional christening gift.

Very good, there isn't any damage to the mug, the decoration is sharp and crisp without any damage or rubbing. There are some really minor surface marks due to age and use which are commensurate with age and minimal use. The marks are mainly on the base rim - see pictures. The hallmarks are good and are clear.
