A great quality hallmarked silver snuff box hallmarked for 1840. This Early Victorian silver snuff box is rectangular in shape, quite shallow and has a striped engine turned decoration to the top, bas and sides with plain edges. It has a rectangular central cartouche which is unengraved and a shaped and decorated thumb piece. This is a lovely example of an early Victorian silver snuff box by a prominent Silversmith of the period. A great silver collectable to add to a collection or start a new one.
